Prior to service, please inform us of any behavioral tendencies such as reactivity, anxiety, etc. that your dog tends to experience.
We will use your leash and collar or harness for the walk.
Our recommendation is a harness with a Y-shaped front, side straps that go above (not across) the shoulder blades, and a D ring on the back for the leash.
This is usually the most comfortable walking gear for dogs.
Our second best recommendation is a wide, flat collar (width distributes pressure more evenly).
However, we will use whatever you have.
We carry training treats with us for positive reinforcement and helping dogs cope with potential triggers.
Please let us know of any food allergies or sensitivities your dog(s) have!
If you would rather we use your treats (kibble works too), we are happy to. Please supply a small amount per dog for each walk.
In warm weather, we bring fresh cold water in an insulated bottle with a collapsible water bowl to offer water breaks to your dog throughout our walk.
We do not allow dogs we are walking to come into contact with other dogs or children whenever we can avoid it, for safety reasons.
After we return to your home, we will replenish the dog’s water bowl with clean water and send you a summary with 3-6 photos from the walk via text message.
The recommended walk length for puppies varies based on breed and age.
Puppies typically cannot walk for a full 30 minutes or longer, so instead, consider booking a drop-in visit which can be filled with cuddles, playtime, and enrichment with puzzles, snuffle mats or lick mats.
